What was the most rewarding part of being on the BLSA Executive Board?

The honor of representing BLSA and serving on the Executive Board with my closest friends. Our Executive Board started the BLSA Alumni Spotlight award, facilitated over eighty events, and won Chapter of the Year regionally and nationally.

What challenges did you face as a member of the BLSA Executive Board?

The challenges were endless. Our Executive Board was tasked to deal with the aftermath of August 11th and 12th. We had our entire semester planned and ready to go over the summer. Our calendar was completely revamped in real time to respond to the trauma experienced by our members and the larger law school community.

How did your participation in the BLSA Executive Board shape you as a Black professional?

My participation on the BLSA Executive Board gave me the confidence and strength to handle any situation given to me. It has given me the responsibility to use my voice to lobby for diversity and equity in the workplace.
